At Town Hall Sessions, we are delighted to be partnering with Partington Theatre, which has been at the centre of local culture in Glossop for over 60 years. Known for its rich history in amateur dramatics, Partington Theatre is joining forces with us to introduce an exciting line-up of live music events in the theatre’s Clubroom. This initiative is designed not only to diversify the entertainment offerings but also to enrich the longstanding activities at the venue, such as the regular Glossop Jazz Club.
As part of our collaboration, we are looking to upgrade the venue with access to new, professional digital PA equipment, and working with acoustic experts, to improve the acoustic quality of the room, whilst maintaining its charm and heritage as a grade II listed building. These improvements are expected to enhance the audience’s experience for both the new music events and the ongoing cultural activities at the theatre.
Through this partnership, we aim to draw a wider audience to the historic venue, enhancing its role as a central hub of community and culture. By blending our expertise in organizing live music sessions with Partington Theatre’s traditional charm, we are set to enrich Glossop’s cultural landscape and ensure the theatre’s vibrancy for many more years to come.
